The Arts Society (formerly NADFAS) founded in 1968 by Patricia Fay, is a leading arts charity which works to advance decorative and fine arts education and appreciation, alongside promoting the conservation of our artistic heritage. The Arts Society opens up the world of the arts for everyone to enjoy, learn, participate in, and preserve.

With inspiring monthly lectures given by top experts in their fields, together with days of special interest, educational visits and cultural holidays, The Arts Society is a great way to learn, have fun and make new and lasting friendships.

Society and Affiliate Members can become involved in worthwhile conservation volunteering projects in churches, museums, castles and historic houses. Our Church Recorders, Young Arts, Church Trails and Heritage Volunteers offer invaluable help to many public institutions, enhancing and encouraging the appreciation and understanding of art and our artistic heritage.

There are over 375 Societies throughout the UK, in mainland Europe and New Zealand, as well as 35 Societies in Australia as part of the Australian Decorative & Fine Arts Society (ADFAS), reaching a combined membership of over 98,000 worldwide.
