Heritage Volunteers are members of The Arts Society who give their time to help preserve our heritage, usually working as part of a team. Appropriate training is given to all Heritage Volunteers by accredited, professional conservators, curators or advisers.

Volunteering is not all hard work! There is always time for chat, laughter and gossip!

Volunteers are currently working at the Museum of the Black Watch where there is a textile group assessing, repairing and cleaning uniforms before re-hanging them on padded hangers and putting them inside calico bags. A volunteer is also helping with visitors who arrive at the front desk. Another group is working with the Collections Officer on accreditation of items in the Museum.
