The Arts Society Tayside provides its members with enjoyable experiences in the arts in the company of people with similar interests but very few of us are, in any way, experts! In addition to our talks we offer summer garden outings, specialist interest days and visits.  From September to June we enjoy ten interesting one hour talks on a wide variety of decorative and fine arts topics at Birnam Arts, with a choice of morning or afternoon lectures, usually on the second Monday of every month.  We are a members-only Society, but if you would like to try before committing please contact us to attend a lecture or for more information or to become a member: Seonaid Hastie Smith, our Membership Secretary would be delighted to hear from you. email: tastmembership@gmail.com or mobile: 07505898424

The Arts Society (formerly NADFAS), to which we are affiliated, was founded in 1968 by Patricia Fay, and is a leading arts charity which works to advance decorative and fine arts education and appreciation, alongside promoting the conservation of our artistic heritage. The Arts Society opens up the world of the arts for everyone to enjoy, learn, participate in, and preserve.

With inspiring monthly talks given by top experts in their fields, together with days of special interest, educational visits and cultural holidays, The Arts Society is a great way to learn, have fun and make new and lasting friendships.

There are over 375 Societies throughout the UK, in mainland Europe and New Zealand, as well as 35 Societies in Australia as part of the Australian Decorative & Fine Arts Society (ADFAS), reaching a combined membership of over 98,000 worldwide.
