What is The Arts Society?
The Arts Society Tayside is an affiliate society of The Arts Society (The Arts Society).

What we can offer you and where do we meet?
We meet in Birnam, Perthshire, at Birnam Arts for our regular monthly lectures.
We are a sociable, not-for-profit Society dedicated to providing our members with enjoyable experiences in the arts in the company of people with similar interests. We enjoy ten interesting one hour lectures on a wide variety of topics during our Season.
Additionally, thourghout the season, we offer Summer Garden Outings, Specialist Interest Days, an additional series of Winter Lectures (in Perth) and day Visits within a reasonable distance of our area (usually providing coach transport and lunch).
Times:
You have a choice of attending in the morning at 11am or the afternoon at 2pm, usually on the second Monday of every month, from September to June.
Dates and Membership
The 2026-27 Season begins on 14 September 2026, and membership for the year costs £68. We are a members-only Society, but if you would like to try before committing, we offer a complimentary lecture. Supporting Young Arts
We are proud to support local primary schools through grants for their Art Departments under our 'Arts in Education' initiative, helping to inspire the next generation of artists and art lovers.

We are always looking for enthusiastic Members to join our committee or to volunteer to help run the Society. Whether you would like to help organise events, support our initiatives, or contribute your skills behind the scenes, there's a role for you.
